Treatments
We use a wide range of manual techniques such as mobilisations, massage and exercise therapy aided by sophisticated electronic equipment.
Assessment
Before you receive any treatment or advice, you will discuss your condition and be carefully examined to determine the nature of your problem. From there, we can decide whether physiotherapy is appropriate and then formulate a treatment programme tailored to your needs. A full assessment with treatment plan takes approximately 60 minutes.
Follow up treatment
Follow up treatment sessions after the initial assessment take approximately 30 minutes.
Treatments may involve:
• Mobilisations - Applied movements to reduce stiffness and relieve pain.
• Manipulation - High velocity to restore normal movement.
• Soft tissue massage - to reduce scar tissue, relieve muscle spasm and accelerate the healing process.
• Rehabilitative exercise - Personal programs devised within our sports facilities to re-educate and restore weak or deficient muscles
• Electrotherapy - A variety of techniques including ultrasound and electrotherapy to relieve pain and enhance the healing process.
• Prevention - Looking at the cause of the injury and advising on means of stopping re-occurance by the use of postural strengthening exercises and ergonomic assessment
